We will routinely, at our sole discretion, update this Privacy Policy to clarify our practices and to reflect new or different privacy practices. We encourage you to frequently check this page for any changes to stay informed about how we are helping to protect the personal information we collect. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this Privacy Policy periodically and become aware of modifications. 1. Types of Information We Collect
We collect Personal Information from you in various ways when you use our Site and Services. “Personal Information” means any information that may be used to identify an individual, including, but not limited to, a name, address, telephone number or email address, or other information about an individual that is directly linked to personally identifiable information. Personal Information does not include aggregate or anonymized data, and nothing in this Policy restricts or limits our collection, use and disclosure of such data.
Information You Provide. In general, you can visit the Plumsense Site without telling us who you are or revealing any Personal Information about yourself. Sometimes, however, we will require or request you to provide Personal Information in connection with the use of our Site or Services. Generally this information is collected when you (i) fill out a contact form; (ii) become a registered user with Plumsense, including but not limited to subscribing as a user; (iii) sign up for a mailing list; (iv) contact us; (v) enter a promotional/informational feature via our Site or Services; (vi) complete a survey that we use for research; or (vii) voluntarily provide a mobile phone number for account verification purposes. We may also collect Personal Information that is contained in the files, documents, photos and other materials that you upload to our Site or provide in connection with our Services. Plumsense may use third party authentication services (each, an “Authentication Service”) for account registration and credentialing purposes. You may be required to provide your username/ID for an Authentication Service accepted by Plumsense. The Authentication Service may also ask you for your password for your account with that Authentication Service. If you choose to provide any of the foregoing information, during registration or otherwise, you are giving Plumsense the permission to use and store it consistent with this Policy.
Sensor and Device Telemetry. The Services include wireless Internet of Things (IoT) monitoring. When your organization deploys Plumsense hardware, we collect telemetry generated by sensors, gateways, and connected equipment, including environmental, physical, and operational readings (such as temperature, humidity, pressure, door events, water detection, air quality, motion, occupancy, power status, and location), battery status, signal strength, device and gateway identifiers, and connectivity data, together with alert and acknowledgment history. This data is associated with your organization’s account and is used to provide monitoring, alerting, and compliance record-keeping.
Automatically Collected Information. When you visit our Site or use our Services, certain information may also be automatically collected. For example, we record information such as Internet domain and host names; Internet protocol (IP) addresses; browser software and operating system types; clickstream patterns; and dates and times that our Site and Services are accessed. We may also use cookies and other tracking technologies to improve our Site, Services and your experience. “Cookies” are small text files placed on your computer’s hard drive that are read by the server that placed them, are unable to execute any code or virus and cannot take any additional information from your hard drive. These cookies allow our Site to recognize you when you revisit our Site and Services and to remember certain information about you, such as your preferences and the type of content you find of interest so that we can better serve you with more tailored information when you return to our Site or Services. Most browsers allow you to control cookies, including whether or not to accept them and how to remove them. Generally, you can set your browser to notify you when you are sent a cookie, giving you the chance to decide whether or not to accept it. If you choose to erase or block your cookies, you will need to re-enter your original user ID and password to gain access to certain parts of our Site and Services.
Plumsense also receives Personal Information and other online and offline information from sources of information that legally provide Plumsense with your information, and which are outside the scope of this Privacy Policy at the time of collection (“Other Sources”). Plumsense will use such information in accordance with applicable laws and this Privacy Policy. Information concerning a device you use to access, use, or interact with the Site, such as operating system type or mobile device model, browser type, domain, and other system settings, the language your system uses and the country and time zone of your device, geo-location, unique device identifier or other device identifier, mobile phone carrier identification, and device software platform and firmware information (“Device Data”) may also be collected when your device interacts with the Site and Plumsense, even if you are not logged into the Site using your device.
Payment Information. Credit card information is temporarily collected for use with online orders only and is not saved in any manner by Plumsense. Plumsense does not have access to the credit card number, verification code, or expiration date. This information may, however, be retained by our credit card payment processor to the extent required to facilitate the financial transaction. Payments are encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our Site and its service providers.
Data Security. We have implemented physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect, including encryption of data in transit and at rest and role-based access controls. Unfortunately, no data transmission is guaranteed to be 100% secure and we therefore cannot guarantee the security of information you transmit to or from the Site, applications, or through the use of our Services, and you provide this information at your own risk. ACCORDINGLY, WE DISCLAIM LIABILITY FOR THE THEFT, LOSS, OR INTERCEPTION OF, OR UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS OR DAMAGE TO, YOUR DATA OR COMMUNICATIONS BY USING THE SITE, APPLICATIONS, AND OUR SERVICES. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU UNDERSTAND AND ASSUME THESE RISKS. If you believe your privacy has been breached through use of our Site, applications, or other Services please contact us immediately.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties under any circumstances.
We collect your mobile phone number only when you voluntarily provide it and check the SMS consent box. Providing a phone number is optional and is not a condition of using the Site or Services. Your number is used exclusively for account verification messages. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, or get assistance by replying HELP or contacting support@plumsense.com. Message and data rates may apply; message frequency varies.
Our SMS Terms & Conditions are set forth in our Terms of Use and Service, available at https://www.plumsense.com/terms-conditions/.

You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP. You may manage how your browser handles Cookies by adjusting its privacy and security settings; you may manage how your mobile device and mobile browser share certain Device Data with Plumsense, as well as how your mobile browser handles Cookies, by adjusting the privacy and security settings on your mobile device.
